Today marks my 7th year from hardly being able to look in the mirror, being in the wrong relationship, the wrong mental state and the wrong life.

I want to thank the man who helped me out of this rut and made me pick up and put down heavy circles

I want to give thanks to his friendship and share my gratitude that people can offer a hand out when someone is clearly unhappy.

I also want to thank those on here than engage with me, be it on chat, in meets on social media or even on the mat in a sweaty submission struggle, you all mean a lot and matter incredibly to me.

I finally want to offer a hand be it here or elsewhere to anybody else that is struggling that just wants to talk or ask for some advice or just have someone to vent at.

I’m 43 and I feel like I’m 30 I’m so incredibly lucky I get to do this with you all be it in pro wrestling or submission wrestling.

Look out for each other and give me a shout if you need.

Pete (Centaur)

Well done, mate. Good to hear, Pete, lad. Pleasure meeting you & look forward to next grapple in April. Developing friendship (even at a distance) is important to me just now, as just beginning to emerge from a mh meltdown early this year. All best. Px

I read this said felt a great deal of positivity and encouragement. I too am in a period of quite significant darkness. I have lost both parents within a 3 year period and my ltr ended in the midst of this. I think I have withdrawn and my partner grew tired of my grief. It’s good to know that there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for posting your story.

I’m glad that everything is indeed “looking up” for you.
In this cyber world, it is too easy to feign friendship when someone you know is in need.
Saying the right things is far too easy, yet actually meaning them is something very different.
I too went into a very dark place after losing a loved one and truthfully felt that some people I considered friends didn’t care at all.
But your life definitely seems to be turning around very much for the better and let’s hope it keeps this upward trajectory!

Pete, you have taken steps to change. Never forget that people will help you as well as you help others.
Keep strong. We all need each other from time to time.

Kind regards
Gary

Happy to read your progress. I'm gratefull for the guy(s)/gal(s) whom (helped) picked/picking you up. I only know you now, but I think this prooves that broken things can be repared and brought back. And I love you and the joy you have and spread on the mat (and sometimes in the groupchat, where you and I can be considered as unguided projectiles), and I cherrish our rolls, banter and chats.

Off course, despite my kind words, I can't wait till I'm big, tall and strong and beat your sorry @ss :D, and remember, it's a trash-can, not a trash-cannot.

Keep growing, or better keep rowing pal.
