Kevin Von Erich, Ivan Putsky aren't the only bruisers that gives great memories.
Two other legendary heels/squashers are Kevin Sullivan with his wicked headscissors, and Ken Patera with his insane front guillotine chokes. Only wished that they'd paired up as a Team to destroy jobber duos. Kevin Sullivan's rolling headscissors & Ken Patera's front guillotine, he really raised his opponents threshold to their tip toes. Great master heels/squashers.
Glad to know you enjoy my YouTube Channel, LuchaRaza. It's a work in progress.
Yes Scott (NOvakDJ), I've been a loyal subscriber to your content on YouTube as well.
It's great stuff and well organized.
Now back to the main subject. Body scissor is cool and all, but I don't see the direct comparison to Headscissors. Apples and Oranges.
Headscissor is in the "Choke" category, along with strangles, headlocks, guillotines, and sleepers since the main pressure is focused on the head or neck area. Their final effect (if applied directly to carotids) knock-out, sleepy time.
Ivan Putsky headlock footage is easy to find at my YouTube Channel. Go to LuchaRaza, it's in the Headlock folder. BTW: I have lots of headscissor content/folders as well. Enjoy
Seriously? I go to that channel all the time to check out your videos! You have great stuff! I'm N0vakDj on there. Check out mine for headscissor videos too. I have some headlocks as well.
A Kevin Von Erich headscissor or an Ivan Putksky wind-up headlock. Both would have your ears ringing for weeks. Yeah, Saturday morning wrestling was good stuff.
Oh man, Ivan Putksky! That man could work a headlock like no one else. Thanks for reminding me of him. I'm going to have to look up some videos of him on YouTube. :)
While I love them both, I have a very strong preference for head scissors. Some might even label me obsessed. I remember back in high school, I would live for Saturday mornings when WCCW would be on. Each week I watched intently for Kevin Von Erich to wrestle and use his legendary legs. Here is a match of his from that time. Around 5:02 mark, Kevin catches Jimmy Garvin in a flying head scissors. At 5:50, Garvin frees himself only to have Kevin grab his head and shove it back into the scissors for more squeezing.
Kevin von Erich is my all-time favorite professional wrestler. Would always fantasize about his scissors victim being ME. Dean Malenko is a close second
Kevin was one of my favorite wrestlers. I loved his barefoot style and his lethal headscissors. Freebirds vs Von Erichs was an awesome rivalry. Thanks for sharing the video!
