Is it so hard to answer messages?

Its just common courtesy to reply. How hard is it to simply say you are not interested?
Why be a snob about it?
Do they feel they are too good for some people?
Maybe its just the way I was raised.
People are a direct indication of the parents they had.
Besides, this is a message forum website after all. You would have to be a complete idiot to not expect messages from time to time.
If you are not here to answer messages, then why are you here?
It reminds me of when I was a kid trick or treating at Halloween and people did not answer their door even though you knew they were home......ignorance!
Some people would come to the door and just say they had no candy. Thats respectable!

Don't agree with the Halloween parallel. If I'm a parent and see an internal light on, but not outside, I'm not going to bother them.

Anyway, yeah for the rest I agree.
I DO however wish people would be upfront when writing, why are you writing?
When I get a "hi", I'll groan but answer.
Then when I get the "how are you" I'll groan more. Probably answer, but it might be a little short.

True. One word or two word messages isn't the way to start a conversation. That's how you end a conversation.

Sometimes a good conversation is developed and suddenly the.messages stop. They read what you said but seem to refuse to speak anymore.

I think the worst I saw was when a guy told me he had an emergency he had to deal with. Fine. It happens. Then five minutes later he shows up in the chat room.

You aren’t expected a reply of anyone , if someone does reply congratulations on catching their attention however some people simply don’t wish to reply , Wether that’s anxiety or not wanting to be confrontational that’s simply there way

That is true. If someone believes that responding to you is a waste of their time then you're just wasting your time trying to talk to them. With no response received, you can only assume that they've got better things to do than waste 5 seconds typing out a response to you.

I agree. Whats the big deal if they don’t reply? Theres lots of other people on here.

Any reason why some people on this site simply ignore any messages sent to them?

I mean, its kind of ignorant on their part. We can see when messages are read and not read yet.
At least have the common courtesy to acknowledge somebody.
When I send a message to somebody and I see that they read it but dont reply, it's an indication of what kind of person they are to begin with.

Definitely. Very easy to ignore messages on the internet. Useless to expect a response to a message even when sent to someone you've talked to many times. Best just to send a message and forget about it.

Maybe we should start a list of people to NOT expect a response from to save people from wasting their time!

Thunder - I agree with you completely. Too many guys on this site dod NOT respond to any message. Really too bad.
