Strange topic. Ive wrestled everyone who has offered and made themselves available. Im not blind so yes I see what they look like but if I were blind I wouldn't know the difference. What i'm getting at is no better or worse experiences had by any particular race and I don't have a preference, at least as far as race. Id say racial pref would be more of a fetish then anything else. Nothing wrong with fetishes, to each his own. Funny thing is I know I have a "TYPE" when I see I think to myself " Well he looks like a fun wrestle" Ive never let that influence my taking match though. if you check my profile youll see its a mixed bag of race, builds, age, height, weight. what Ive found is that most of my best matches ended up being with guys I wouldnt have given a second look at in public.

Appreciate the thoughtful comments here. I've never had a preference for race/ethnicity but have to say I enjoy the contrast. As a caucasian I can see how some of us fetishize men who look different than us, but for me it's always been about having a good sweaty fight, win or lose. I have made some good friendships with guys here from all over the world who share their passion for wrestling, period. A great bond and brotherhood.

Not sure; did you mean Native Americans or those of the subcontinent of Asia. I don't know about the former, but the latter have training programs that you might wish you had not considered them for a match. They are S-T-R-O-N-G.

That said, I am sure you know how to handle yourself and have. Still, be careful what you wish for. :)

I don't see the need is classing it as 'interracial'. Wrestling is wrestling whoever it's with. It just increases a division between colour.

There is a really weird fetishization w/ and against Black men. Hard to build genuine friendships or even be interested in wrestling certain others when I know me being “Black” is a huge factor. These same people do not go out there way to educate themselves nor strive to make the world better for Black men.

I'd say it can be more complicated than that. It depends actually on what is on one's mind when he thinks of black men. For sure black men are often associated with super-males made for domination, a widespread and stupid cliché of course, and - I can imagine - very frustrating or shocking for black men. But the preference for black men can also be only the expression of an aesthetic judgement . I find dark skins very beautiful, that's all! It doesn't stop me from admiring other types! :)

I agree. A dominant Alpha male is not race exclusive. A Dominant is a Dominant.

I feel like people are fetishizing different races which I geuss if all parties are participating with informed consent is fine just be careful you arn't being racist. Like if someone dosn't want to do some sort of race based fetish play don't think of them as a whatever race fighter just think of them as a fighter. I don't wanna tell people how to feel or what to do from my seat of privlage but just trying to call out my fellow white people to think critically about what we all say.

Asians are not always jobbers. I was at university with a Malaysian guy and he was as strong as hell, he was also taller than me. When we wrestled, he would always pick me up and crush the life out of me!
