Fighting Events - Pi Day Weekend wrestlefest March 2021

There are no fees for this event. No fee for mat time, etc. However, each attendee is responsible for getting to the event and obtaining food and lodging. That is easy since this nice hotel has very cheap rooms now and has its own diner.

jIvovrup. mavovrup'a'? (Klingon for "I'm ready to wrestle. Are we ready to wrestle?")

Wrestling get-together at the New Yorker Hotel, near Penn Station. To keep the event safe, we ask that attendees have been vaccinated or have a strong antibody response from natural infection (blood test provides that information, while a nasal PCR test indicates whether virus is present). The format will be like Terry's legendary NYC Wrestlefest, which would have been held this current weekend in February. (Terry is still planning to hold an April wrestlefest in western Pennsylvania which is also on event calendar.)

If you haven't been vaccinated yet, there is still time; they are being distributed here at city clinics and elsewhere at pharmacies like CVS, priority given for the vulnerable and for essential workers. You need two vaccinations 3-4 weeks apart, depending on the provider.

There is no cost for this event, but you have to get your own food and lodging. Hotel Penn is currently closed due to Covid so we're not doing it there. New Yorker has $60 rooms and it is a nice hotel with its own diner, and is also right across the street from Penn Station. To register, send a private message with your stats and preferred wrestling style(s) and test or vaccination status. And indicate whether or not you want to be on a publicly-visible event roster (like the one used by the Wrestlefest until recently).
