Size doesnt really matter. What matters is if he knows what he is doing. If he knows how to properly destroy the gut at the same time making it interesting.

I've been doing GP since I was 12 and for me now, the puncher needs to out mass me by at least 30% (Muscle, Fat or mixture of the two) and knows how to put that mass into his punches or we're just playing at GP.
I think about someone who's been picked on / bullied a lot, kind of a Poindexter type. He figures out how to hire someone to kidnap me and leave me strapped to a wall in an abandoned building. Then he shows up, and focuses the years of victimization and pent up rage on my defenseless gut.
I like being gut punched by a much shorter opponent. A scene where I start with the upper hand in wrestling due to my size and strength, but then my shorter opponent turns the tables around by delivering an unexpected blow to my gut as I am caught off guard.
I have done both also. It is a better angle when the puncher can get an upward force, especially if you have a round belly like mine that sends uppercuts right into the base of my tub.

The power and control of the puncher is important to me, so the puncher can break down entire abdominal wall fairly uniformly for the best effect.

If the punchee is placed on a box or platform of some height, it is the same as effect as having a shorter puncher.

When the puncher's shoulder is more inline with the center of the gut , the puncher can deliver strong punches easier and longer.
